It was a sharp, clear morning for the 10 mile TT on the F1Z/10H. As each rider rolled away from the start line into the quiet air, this Bedfordshire Road CC promotion saw a steady sequence of times that matched the predicted pace, proving that the legs, not the weather, were doing the talking.

Early in the day, Andy King set the benchmark with a time of 00:24:10, throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the field.

The leaderboard didn't stay static for long, as Simon Doyle stormed through the finish to lower the best mark to 00:23:43.

Ultimately, it was Sam McDonald who proved to be the class of the field today. pacing his effort perfectly to stop the clock at 00:21:37 and take the win.

Paul Pardoe put in a valiant ride to secure 2nd place with a time of 00:21:42, while Simon Murphy rounded out the podium in 3rd (00:23:16).

In the Women's category, Carolyn Pfalzgraf took top honors with a fantastic time of 00:26:40. Catherine Kilvert followed in second place (00:29:57).

The battle of the Road Bikes saw Richard Lamb emerge victorious, clocking 00:25:52. Chris Cummings chased hard to take the runner-up spot in 00:26:11.

A special mention goes to Nikky Vass, who produced the ride of the day relative to her handicap, beating her predicted time by +38s.
