The 15 mile TT on the N1/15 provided an honest test of fitness today. Promoted by Peterborough CC, the event was held in moderate wind conditions that offered a fair challenge on both the "out" and "back" legs. With riders leaving the start line every sixty seconds, the results were a balanced reflection of current form, sitting right on the predicted marks.
Early in the day, Carl Dyson set the benchmark with a time of 00:33:06, throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the field.
The leaderboard didn't stay static for long, as Jamie Murray stormed through the finish to lower the best mark to 00:32:36.
Ultimately, it was Paul Pardoe who proved to be the class of the field today. pacing his effort perfectly to stop the clock at 00:31:33 and take the win.
Sam McDonald put in a valiant ride to secure 2nd place with a time of 00:31:40, while Jamie Murray rounded out the podium in 3rd (00:32:36).
In the Women's category, Lindsay Clarke took top honors with a fantastic time of 00:39:26. Zoe Shepherd followed in second place (00:42:50).
The battle of the Road Bikes saw Carl Dyson emerge victorious, clocking 00:33:06. Chris Bradbury chased hard to take the runner-up spot in 00:35:32.
A special mention goes to Pete Trotman, who produced the ride of the day relative to his handicap, beating his predicted time by +138s.
