Matt Rossiter Surprised the Favourites to Claim a Superb Victory

The steady pulse of the one-minute intervals defined the morning at the 10 mile TT on the N3/10. Promoted by Kettering CC, this was an event where the course held no surprises. A light breeze tested the aero tuck on the exposed sections, but the field delivered a solid display of standard club racing.

Early in the day, Michael Pickering set the benchmark with a time of 00:26:47, throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the field.

The leaderboard didn't stay static for long, as Hans Van Nierop stormed through the finish to lower the best mark to 00:23:09.

Ultimately, it was Matt Rossiter who proved to be the class of the field today. pacing his effort perfectly to stop the clock at 00:19:53 and take the win.

Paul Pardoe put in a valiant ride to secure 2nd place with a time of 00:21:04, while George Fox rounded out the podium in 3rd (00:21:34).

In the Women's category, Zoe Shepherd took top honors with a fantastic time of 00:28:32. Hayley Moore followed in second place (00:28:51).

The battle of the Road Bikes saw Oscar Smith emerge victorious, clocking 00:23:04. Chris Bradbury chased hard to take the runner-up spot in 00:23:36.

A special mention goes to Michael Pickering, who produced the ride of the day relative to his handicap, beating his predicted time by +157s.
